Meet The Team

Michelle Kornet,
MBA, MS, ORT/L, CHT,
Director
Michelle has been the Director of Advanced Therapy Center since late 2020. She is originally from the Hudson Valley, New York, and relocated to California in 2019. Michelle was mentored and trained by both surgeons and advanced therapists to become a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2018. Michelle believes in quality patient care and is dedicated to the advancement of the field of hand therapy. This is demonstrated by her volunteer work as a mentor with the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) and serving as Treasurer for the Hand Therapy Society of the Greater Los Angeles Area (HTSGLA). In her spare time, Michelle can be found playing with her two beagles or looking for the best pizza parlor in LA!

Kendra Lawson
Front Office Administrator
Kendra is the Front Office Administrator at Advanced Therapy Center.
She has worked for the company for over 17 years. She serves as the primary contact and is happy to help with any of your questions or concerns.

Kimberly Ford, MA, OTR/L, CHT
Senior Therapist
Kimberly graduated from the University of Southern California with her Bachelor's and Masters degrees in Occupational Therapy in 2006.
From there, she pursued her passion in hand therapy and began her career as an OT at Advanced Therapy Center in January 2007. She went on to receive her CHT credential in May of 2012.

Lily Chen
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Lily received her Master degree from USC in Occupational Therapy in 2011. She is certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT), and has received advanced practice certification in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, and intervention (SWC) from the California board of Occupational Therapy. She has been an OT in pediatric field for 9 years. Lily joined Advanced Therapy Center in 2022.
In her free time, Lily enjoys going to Disneyland, traveling and spending time with her family. She loves playing with her kids just like how she likes working with her young clients.

Heather Beckman
MA, OTR/L, CHT
Heather was born and raised here in the South Bay. She graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with her Bachelors of Science in 2006 and Masters of Arts in 2007. Early in her Occupational Therapy career, Heather routinely assessed and treated a wide variety of upper extremity conditions. In 2013 Heather earned the prestigious title of Certified Hand Therapist. Heather is passionate about hand therapy and helping her patients return to their prior level of function. In her spare time, Heather enjoys running, Pilates and spending time with her husband, two daughters and dog, Luna.

Perri Rossi
MA, OTR/L
Perri earned her Master’s from University of Southern California in 2019 and has since earned advanced certification in Hand Therapy and Physical Agent Modalities.
She believes the better you understand the what and why behind your treatment, the better the outcome. Perri empowers her patients in therapy through connecting activities to each individual’s functional needs and explaining etiology in their conditions.
She meets each patient where they are to begin treatment and hopes to make the road to recovery enjoyable.

Kayla Cauton
Therapy Aide
Kayla is aspiring to become an occupational therapist. She is currently applying for occupational therapy graduate programs. Kayla has been working for Advanced Therapy Center since June of 2021.
Alongside the occupational therapists, she works in the back in the main treatment room. Under the therapists’ training, she sets up patients for treatment, prepares and demonstrates exercises, as well as observes and learns about modalities and the field of hand therapy.

Amber Clark
Therapy Aide
As an aide, her role is to help the therapist in the clinic and be the front receptionist. Goal is to get a degree for occupational therapy. Have worked for the clinic since October 2021 to present. Will continue to work hard and improve as an aide.
In her free time she like to dance, cook, dogs, and travel.

Inia David
Therapy Aide
I was initially a volunteer in July 2021 and became a clinical aide in September 2021. I obtain my Bachelor’s in Psychology at California State University of Dominguez Hills in May 2021. During my free time, I like to learn new dances and spend time with my family and dog. I’ve been into planning and journaling into my daily routine.
